三 | （图：陆路交通管理局）南北交通廊道地面街道重新打造。（图：陆路交通管理局）南北交通廊道地面街道重新打造。（图：陆路交通管理局）根据Henning Larsen提出的初步概念，南北交通廊道的地面街道将分为四段。其中，在市区一带3.5公里长的文化遗产段，梧槽干拿路、双溪路和惹兰勿刹交界处将被打造成地标性公共空间，衔接小印度、甘榜格南和滑铁卢街三大文化区，以及附近的教育学府，包括拉萨尔艺术学院、南洋艺术学院及新加坡管理大学校园；毗邻甘榜格南的奥菲亚路部分路段则可能改为行人步道。涵盖义顺、宏茂桥一带的生态段则长达七公里，初步概念包括：将宏茂桥一带的南北交通廊道地面街道打造成自然主题公共空间、脚踏车道、步道和游乐区，衔接附近的邻里及碧山-宏茂桥公园。北部的社区工业段的初步概念则拟议在甘巴士道的汽车天桥下，开辟包括游乐设施和装置艺术作品的休闲公共空间。
